Yikes Smokey, please DO be careful with the bandsaw in the future. I think the bandsaw is more responsible for cutting fingers than table saws or any other kind of saw. which hand?

Smokey,
Hope you heal up soon. You are quit lucky you didn't lose the finger. Out of all the tools in the woodshop, the bandsaw scares me the most. Feel better man. I think catching a few stripers is just what you need.

Saltheart, I disagree. A good nose-picker has nine other options with which to pick his or her nose
LMAO...
Smokey, I put an atom popper through my thumb (actually a bass did) a couple years ago. My wife was like, that sucks you won't be able to fish... right! Went out the next day. Gotta play in pain once in a while.
Hope the digit heals up soon.

Just think, you'll be able to blame the scar on mutant bluefish..."but it was THIS BIG!!!"
Seriously - there are several places where your fingers aren't wanted - the business end of a bandsaw is one of them....

Oh Poor Smokey....Get the Doctor to give you a two week "No Hard Labor" order and let's go fishing!
Serious....We pray that the pain will be light and that you jeal quickly.

Smokey hope you heal up soon. Last thursday while I was out fishing on a charter I got beeped to the house. I called and my wife told me that she just tried to catch a glass that fell off of a table. She got a smilie face cut on her middle finger at the knuckle joint underside. It took five stitches which she just got out yesterday. She said next time the glass goes to the floor, it broke hitting the table on the way down as she was wrapping her hand around it.

Saltheart and I made it to the ditch tonight, I took it e.z.,casting was OK. But retreving was tuff. It seems to be slow at the ditch. I'll be in good shape when it picks back up.
