Water access for this weekends Tall Ships Event

Does anyone know if there will be a restricted area around the tall ships this coming weekend in Newport?

Yeah there will be bouys marking an area where you can't go... Newport harbor will be a zoo, I recomend driving over and looking at them, or taking a ride on a tour boat that will be going out anyways I cant say which one cause that would be spam...

Brian, PM me the info for your tour boat pls. I have family visiting from out of the country and I think this may just be up their alley.

"Access in Newport this weekend"

I know there will be two streets closed down. Washington St.
and Long Wharf St. will be closed to all traffic except for people
that have Special Passes and Parking Permits. I stay at Long
Wharf Resort this weekend so I have one of thos Special Passes.

I thought I heard boats have to be 200' from the ships. Newport will be crazy this weekend, that's why I'll be on the Block, but it'll probably be crazy there too.
