I think my chances of catching a 50# bass are greater than my chances of finding a HABS NEEDLEFISH !

Yeah they look just a like a copy of Don Musso's original wooden Super Strike needlefish that we used back in 1984 at the Cape I think there is a picture of one on their website. Nice plugs.

The elite needlefish do look very much like a super strike needlefish. Other than being made of wood, what is different about the elite plugs and how do they perform?

DRMatus, The shape is Similar, Its a larger diameter, longer, more weight, belly hook and weight are in a different spot, eyes are different being larger and sunken in more. This plug makes a BIG V WAKE which has to do with sunken eyes, It has Spro swivels , 6x strong hooks, And custom paint................Hope this helps.

jhabs, I just think that your elite needle is not a habs style at all it is definitely a super strike style i.e. (sunken eye sockets, tapered front and back ends even the paint job is amazingly similar. Although, I guess similar does mean not duplicated. I just wonder why you would stray from your own style and go to a similar style of a different plug builder and call his the Elite. Anyway just my opinion. You do make a nice habs needle fish.

proflection, I'm not the ONLY one making that style, Can you go Buy a Super Strike WOOD plug TODAY,They were GREAT PLUGS, And now makes probably one of the BEST PLASTIC'S today....How many NEEDLEFISH out there now. Who gets credit for them, Hey what about DANNY PLUGS or POLARIS style even DARTERS,There are many variations of them. Legends like Stan Gibbs , Bob Pond, Danny Picni, And the list goes on were the Inventers. No ONE can Reinvent the WHEEL .............. Only try to IMPROVE on it, THANKS for the Complement And GOOD FISHING...................
