Thumbs up Thank You Mr. Sandman

Ran into Mr. Sandman at #^&#^&#^&#^&'s Bait and Tackle yesterday. After meeting up for some suds later with a couple other friends, Mr. Sandman graciously offered to take us (all 3 of us) along surf fishing with him last night. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed it and how much we learned. Nevermind the fact that this fish gods simply didn't put the fish where the conditions were very good but we were there enjoying everthing. He took us to two very good and different locations in his super comfortable bass buggy and hooked us up with some of his favorite plugs, gorgeous hand-made pencils, Danny's and poppers.

Thank you Mr. Sandman! We will remember that for a long time and be anxiously looking for an opportunity to return the favor! Will catch you again during the Derby!

I enjoyed meeting you and your sharkfishing team! I am glad you enjoyed your surf fishing evening but I am somewhat embarressed I couldn't get you all into fish. The conditions were a little sloppy but certainly fishable and the tide was ripe and not a sole on the beach. I wouldn't have changed a thing, and I would fish those same spots again in those conditions without a second thought. My wife thought I was joking when I said we were skunked..."no really, even my bernzy went unmolested!", I said, "I didn't have a hit!" She didn't believe me. Gofigure

Anyway, Good luck in the Monster shark tourny...It would be great to to see a sb.com guy take it! Looks like the weather will clear by then.

Lets hook up again during the mv derby in the fall and do it again, I've got a few more tricks and spots in my bag we can try, and if the surf action is slow we can always tag team our boats into some productive waters. Hey...and next time I buy the blueberry beer.
