I'm not big fan of Pollock But with Macks long gone....

Went out this Am looking for LIVE
Low Tide this AM no 3/4 Herring at the Pier....
it's off to Pollock Rock
end up with an easy Doz.
Then up close to big rock.. Pollock on top with balloon way up close...(no dog fish close)

Sure was fun seeing 24.5 pound 40 inch Bass HIT Pollock on top

I have a new appreciation for Pollock

This was the first year I've gotten and used pollock consistently. I do like herring better, but the pollock have produced for me.

I haven't used the balloon method, but keeping them off the bottom seems to be the key... keep 'em working.

I came up with 3 herring sat am, so I was glad to find some. I lost a monstah on one at the end of my day.

balloons are the classic method and work REALLY well

the balloon bouncing in the waves also adds a little action to the already alive fish...

works great with drifting chunks too
