Question Canal 07.19.04

Canal 07.19.04 Fished the Canal Early 02:30-05:35 good tide weather was foggy & warm thought for sure things would be just right.I had a couple of bumps on mega drifts but couldn't convince the fish to hang on.
Tried second location for the remainder and just nuttin!
I dunno everything seemed aligned.....
Let's see what happens tommorow.

Live bait sharp hooks and timing is all you need

For eelin I exclusivily use a G-Loomis Sur 1267 C 10'6" Heavy Fast action.Paired up w/ a Calcutta 700 with 30# Clear Triline Big Game.
How about yourself what do you prefer to use.

Fished the ditch sunday night and from 3pm-1am last night. Got maybe a dozen fish, no keepers, 27.5" go figure. Got most on pearl shad bodies and red gills. I did have a huge bass follow my rapala to the shore yesterday afternoon, it had to be atleast 40" it took a look up at me and just turned away really slow, she followed on three more casts, AHHH the frustration. One fella chunked up a 5lb sea bass last night on a mac, he got it at 1230, said its the first he has gotten after dark, good dinner for him today.

Everything is better on the rocks.
