Lami XS81MS

Lamiglas factory 8 footer
Built on the GLB961M blank
Fugi guides
Factory rated from 1/2 - 2oz.
Actual range is about 5/8oz to1-3/4 max
Sweet spot is 1-1/4oz.
Paid $180 at Quaker Lane in RI
Of course it has the Lami warranty

3 years old, used it in 2002 and 2003 almost exclusively.
I don't think you could tell! No guide wear, scratchless blank, grips are perfect.

Love the rod!! Will throw a bomber perfectly.

Reason for selling is that I have gotten good at wrapping my own rods and want to build the same blank adding my own touches.

Its not a must that I sell it, as I would hope in a year or 2 i'll be following in Eben's foot steps and have a kid that will want it.

Best legit offer.

Cheers

No offers. I will trade you an old rusty surf-bag and some beef jerky.

Just kidding. I would love the rod, but will be wrapping my own this winter as well.

Well, if he will take the rusty bag and a handful of Jerky, we have a deal. Otherwise, I am building what I want this winter.

thanks for the consideration though.

Probably want to see my work before you ho' LOL

I have just started toying around a little this week. MY first rod will be built during December. Hopefully 2 more in January.

Those 3 are going to be freshwater rods for me and gifts. then I am starting my saltwater surf stuff in Feb - Apr.

So spring run should give some examples if my rods are worth a ho'ing.

Sorry guys the rod sold. I would have jumped at the Jerky though. Wish I saw your post sooner

Its a great blank for Narragansett Bay, you'll enjoy it IWK. I just finished mine, but I improved on the factory built rod.

Shorter grips: 9" real cork rear, 2.5 real cork fore, Fugi BRC19 seat, 7 Fugi SIC's (double 40, singles the rest of the way to a 10 tip. Charcoal double wraps. She can now fling 6" slug-go's better and still has the same top end and can fight like an Irish drunk.
