Squids!
Are they around the cape or do I have to go to an island to jig them up and does anyone here (Mike T and others) make customized squid jigs?

There is a small squid run in Newport at the Goat Island causeway around oct-nov ,but the big run is from the last weeek in April -May. Tattoo makes a nice squid plug ,but I don't know if any of them are left in the shops.

Okay, thanks. Newport is a long drive. And I just want to find more squids before the season ends because I want to make some calamari.

Anyway, are they still on Cape Cod? If not, then I am going to hold it off for the next season.

hehehe. Ben, I still search for those customized jigs... Yo-zuri floats. Your jigs sink and perform well. I got the squid bugs because they helped me to catch a bass and blues and I want to make a dis of fried calamari for my family and my friends.

With a Bic pen and squid barbs one can customize a deadly jig with some interventions...
I still think "squid jigging" is a waste...
