So many nights sleepless....
Well all my sleepelss nights spent fishing, learning my techs, studying the surf and tides and moon phases and bait and rigs and tackle finally paid off for me. It was nothing crazy like 78# or even 57# but this was my biggest fish...I want to thank all you guys on this board, every question I have ever raised has been answered by several with all different opinions. I applied what some have said and laughed at others...Last night, on an East current, on the East end, with a Full moon (almost anyway) a South/SouthEast breeze at slack before the change over to West, I caught my largest so far, 35 beautiful pounds of perfectly striped cow..My drag was screaming in the silent night, as a few fisherman watched I worked my beauty in...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it felt soooooo good I also manage a 34" and a few schoolies, but my night was already made. There were fishing breakin all over the place....My heart is still pounding... Such an amazing feeling, in the slience of night under a quiet sky. Just me on the hunt for my prey...I felt it driving down there, it was gonna be my best night yet
Thanx again to all I have learned from, I finally now feel like a true fisherman......
pics, soon come....

It was 33.9#'s after I cleaned it, so I am guessing on the 35#. I didn't have the scale on me, so I weighed it after I got back to the house. I had already cleaned it out though, there had to be 1.1# of nasty that came out of it....She had a huge belly on her......

Congratulations. Sounds like a well deserved catch. And in the ditch no less. Sounds like , not only the skills of getting a big one to hit were learned, but also the ability to land a big fish in a challenging location.
 Congrats again.
