Wood 0, Plastic 20

After work headed out to the beach soak some wood, tried a whole bunch.... nothing.... notta....nary a swirl.

Rummaged the plug bag and found one odd ball plastic lure so I put it on thinking nothing else has worked, have the bass moved on? do I have the right colored shirt on? lucky hat - yup.

Cast away...... bump..... Hmmmm

Cast....Rip...pause... Rip...pause.... Wham - Fish On!

It went that way until slack all on a Slammer!

I fished it like jigging a parachute which worked good but a few quick rips followed by twitch pause seemed to set the bass off. ALWAYS HIT WHEN THE LURE WAS PAUSED.

Patience is needed when casting this lure but it pays off

Chris is the kinda guy that will master the art of spinging plastic, if need be.

Nice shot Tony!

I hate to think I am a "pureist" with wood but I almost felt.... well.... "dirty" somehow to use and catch so many fish with plastic but it worked & worked remarkably well!!!

Here I go, back to the beach on this sunny day without wood in hand selling out to plastic to catch more.

C`mon PNG... admit it!... you were catching!...

...and you were loving it!

Wood is good, but plastic can be FANTASTIC!...

Glad to hear you were slamming them on the Slammer!
