I had a little "school and spool" last night. I would have loved to see the fish, but she had other plans.
A friend of mine didn't think the weather would be worth the trip, but the canal was as smooth as glass. No wind, very little wave action, no surface action, but more than enough happening down below.

I might try again tomorrow or Thursday night as well.

I fished the ditch monday night for bout 6 hours and it was kinda slow for me. Two decent sized blues on two decent sized eels . 6 bass from 12" yeah i said 12 inches, up to about 24. It was gorgeous down there but i wasnt hitting em all that well.

Everything is better on the rocks.

I fished the west end on Sunday afternoon/evening (slack to 3 hours into east running tide) got nothing. That's it for me this year.

Oh, sure Eben. When I say there's still fish in Maine you berate my ignorance and explain how most locations hold fish over...but for you they are migratory, huh?

Well some are holdovers
Spence the real question is if these fish are swing migratory fish or are they locked into a left or right wing methedeology
