It's SHOWTIME

Congrats to Capt. Gary Corsetti. He's a very hard working and dedicated fisherman who just had another phenomenal catch. If I heard him correctly, Trevor Goody and he caught a 50 something#, a 58#, and a 61# among others in one trip. All caught on film to be shown on OLN next year. There is a catch of 100 peoples lifetime.

rather be fishin'

Gary is a good friend of mine, I was out there and had the camera guy filming the show on my boat. We were out in stiff 20+MPH winds...It did pay off. Here is the shot I took of a 55 and 61lb Bass...I've bagged nearly 150 Bass between 30-39lbs and a few 40's with Gary this year.

I've been photographed in the bow of that boat a few times. Gary really is a great fisherman. He knows his stuff.

Hmmm....looks like the Block Island Bridge in the background to me....

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

A buddy of mine fished with him and they got a few in the 20's. Gary was appologetic the whole way home.
