Cool

On Wednesday November 17th I will be yakkin' at the great bunch of people that make up the MSBA at the Viking Club. This will be my second appearence there ( I did a saltwater flyfishing thingie there five or six years ago). Other than that all I got in the fire is an upcoming article on the "Perfect Needle" hopefully for publication in the spring in OTW.

Why even try.........

Thumbs up sounds good

Well, I'll have to put the strongarm on, to get that shift changed, so I can haul my butt up there.
Surf fishing, and Boat stuff, any tips on cooking seal steaks?
I've got a great marinade, blacken the outsides, then cook it real slow........

Funny you would mention that. Stiffy ( Dave LaPorte landed a baby one Thursday night at Herring Cove. It ate a black/gold BM needle. It was only about 30 pounds. Light gray w/ those cute little eyes and such. I thought for a minute w/ evil intent then said no I can't do it, so somehow Stiffy got him unhooked and off the little feller went with a new, tiny, hole in his upper lip. Barbless hooks don't you know. I don't know if it was the same one but 1/2 hour later a small seal chased my #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& blurple needle with the glow in the dark eyes right up on the beach. Maybe I should have whacked the little bastard while I had the chance! (BTW Salty, the bass like them eyes with just a faint glow not glowing like a demons.) Fish are still all skinny, way skinny.

Like back in college the one exam type I hated and dreaded most was an oral exam. I remember sitting in an old rocking chair in one of my professor's office facing into the afternoon sunlight whereupon I could see almost nothing and having to give my term paper vocally rather than in a written form. It was awful, no notes, nothing. I passed but I still don't know how. So be prepared to answer questions as their will be a little history, where and when and how to and lot's O' usefull tips and junk like that.

Without hecklers it wouldn't be any fun. I am working on a powerpoint thing but I was hoping to get some new pics but with this weather it don't look good. I will let you know. I am going to bring some "hands on history" stuff too.

Can you say "Monomoy"? Can you say "sluggo"? Can you say "flats fishing"? Can you say 1000 pound nights? Can you say 11 fish landed in the surf the smallest being 38 pounds? Can you say 4 guys landing over 30 fish all over 30 pounds? Then say Monomoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why even try.........
