Tough morning.

Any of you guys out this AM? I hit the South Shore of RI about 2 and fished 4 different spots, ending up in the front of Quonny for a couple of hours with another guy from this site. We did nothing. Absolutely dead everywhere. There were 2 boats out front and they didn't do anything either.

I bailed about 5:45 AM. Cold as a well diggers a$$ in January(28 degrees in the Quonny lot). I don't believe the fat lady is singing yet but mornings like this make you start to question your sanity.

No boat, back in the suds.

Ouch, that hurts, I have not been out in two weeks due to other commitments. I was hoping this weekend would be good. Still some good reports from up north.
What was the wind? Where there good conditions?

If there's only two of you out there, you'd probably have enough room to place one of those large mushroom shaped space heaters on a flat rock

Paul things picked up a little just after the sun broke the horizon and I mean little. Birds were working bait about a hundred yards out but before long the action was right out front with several schools of 10"-20" twinkies coming through. Birds, bait and fish would be working the surface it would last for about 5 minutes then they would head south and within minutes this cycle would start all over agian. This lasted for about 40 minutes until a seal showed up out by one of the farther rocks.

I put in 6 hours last night for nada, not even a bump. The previous two day were incredible, probally best of my season. Hopefully this storm front coming through will get them on the feed again.

Piemma I was at Weekapaug from 2:00am till 7:00. Drifting eels at the end of the jetty. One bump all night. I didn't see anything when the sun came up either. Were you in the truck that was driving back and forth from Week to Quonny? I only saw one fish below me at about 24".

Hell ya it was cold.

Na, I was in the TrailBlazer that was parked on the side of the main road. I was fishing in "back" for awhile, then up on the Fire District beach, then at the Overlook, then went to Quonny

No boat, back in the suds.
