tacky epoxy

Did a batch of plugs over the weekend. The finish coat of epoxy on one batch has stayed slightly tacky, must have not quite gotten the mix right. Will it eventually harden? do I need to do another finish coat? do an over spray with some urathane? What's best in this situation?

Timing mixing

Need to mix longer? Will cooler temps affect the curing?

Epoxies are temp dependent. Some will work better at hi than lo and visa versa. If you spun it in a cold temp, like Christian said let it set longer. You can always recoat later if it doesn't dry if you keep it dust free. If your using envirotex mix it for at least 4 mins. Some guys mix it over a cup of warm water to get a more complete mix.

I tossed the outer package the bottles of of resin and hardener came in a long time ago. Got it at Home Depot about a year ago. I think it was called Famowood or something like that. I'll give 'em a week or so and see what happens. I mixed the resin and hardener about two minutes or so. Temp in the basement is a balmy 65 degrees or so...

It's maddening because thse guys are the best ones I've done to date :-(
