NICE!One word says it all.. I just turned a bunch of those off center. In othe words i set it up on the lathe on the centers an turned the head then i lowered the front to alittle more than half way to the edge of the wood an turned the tail.the wobble will freak u out at first but u get used to it.it comes out with a nice hump like the old Rebel Pop-R's.really cool last night i tried to epoxy it in 1000 percent humidity in the cool garage an messed it up. a beatifull paint job too.yellow with a yellow over red stripe. I'm a hack.Thank god I'm 8 yrs removed from recken all my stuff.gettin drunk an havin a night at the fights. Now i just beat myself up mentally.

BM

not sure to which ya referring, so...

1)Rump Swabbing = Arse Kissing

2)N.E. Folk Art = just about any Capesams paint job

My definition for #2 is an example of #1

Nice poppers! I do have a question though. I saw in another post where a few were photographed with a ruler below them. Are they all usually 6.5-7 inches long? Id like to make a few to try out but Im having a problem determining the measurements. It looks to me like the face is about 1 3/4 to 2 inches wide and tapers down to 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Is this about right for proportions? How deep is the face cupped? If its a 7 inch porrer with a 2 inch face it should throw a ton of water. Any help with dimensions appreciated.
