CS... I make the loops teh old fashioned way by hand. Round nose pliers for smaller loops and a bolt in a vise for larger loops. I looked into get a fancy dancy bender and it wasn't worth teh cost for me.

This is very simple to make and your loops will come out perfect every time and they can be made in about 20 -30 seconds each. Pic 01 shows the jig, all you need are the three holes that have the pins in them and one saw kerf with a handsaw. Take a piece of 3/4" hardwood and cut it so it's 1" wide. You can scew it to a workbench or clamp it in a vice which is what I do. The pins are pieces if 1/4" steel rod 1" long. The holes are two in a straight line and the end one at a 45 degree angle up. The holes have 1/16" between the edges so if you do the math, 5/16" between centers when you mark out the holes.Make the holes 1/2" deep. Next to the holes make a saw kerf that your wire will fit into so you can make the initial 90 degree bend nice and neat. Lay the wire the full width of the wood so you'll have an inch of wire before the bend. Now just follow the pictures, in the last picture I tighten up the loop by squeezing the ends together with a pair of pliers. ...mrpogie

Amazon. 10 bucks shipped to you. I'm trying to learn this jig as I sit here sipping coffee, lol.
Here is the one I bought. Duluth has the blue ones for a bit more.

It does for Mr.Pogie. I haven't tried his way yet. My way caused on side of the loop to deform though. Need to try his plier method out.

Striperknight, it's just a little wire bending jig used for shaping wire I bought about 20 years ago and never used until I started building plugs. The only part I have ever used are the pins and slot for bending the wire. Should be very easy to reproduce the essential parts on a piece of hardwood. ...mrpogie
