I dunno Chris.
Steve - here's a dirty yote trick that works for me.
Get a tape or digital recorder. Get a live recording of kittens meowing. Record as long as you can.
Bring the recorder with you to your favorite am b u s h spot around 3:30 a.m. or so. Put out a piece of meat/carrion/roadkill for bait. Start playing the kitten recordings, repeatedly if possible.
When gillig...I mean wiley e. coyote comes by, bust a cap in its a$$. subsonic .22 LR aimed at the head will work, if you're worried about noise and over penetration.

Don't worry about your cats and the coyotes, they give cats away free at the pound!
