removing old epoxy

is there a way to restore a plug that has yellowed epxoy ?

or is it more trouble than its worth ??

You could sand the plug down to the wood and prime/paint/clear coat again. If it is still catching, keep fishing it.

Like Jigman said you can always sand it. I have redone a couple i messed up by putting it back on the lathe centered and used a #80 grit to cut into it,than work up to #150 and sand the corners by hand. Make sure your using a mask,complete face protection and full body armour
