Habs and Tattoo -
Venison sausage washed down with a couple of gallons of blooberry juice - this could turn into a holiday tradition.
Hey, Habs, ain't it shotgun season yet?
We oughta get Fish_Eye in on this one - anybody got calamari sausage for the Finned One?

He said Blooberry, not Bloocrabs. Passed on a couple of does the other day, since I already have fresh meat in the freezer. Do you guys actually have sausages made or do you make sausage patties?

Specialist -
I get the venison sausage 'special delivery' from my sister-in-law in the Midwest - her husband's family has a big farm in Indiana - 3K acres, corn, soy and hogs - and he does a lot of deer hunting, so they make their own venison sausage - and it's excellent!
In fact, Joe's got one of the Indiana State record bucks hanging on his wall.
I used to get my bucktails from him, but cleaning and curing tails wasn't worth the effort to save just a coupla dollars. But I'll take that venison sausage any day of the week... just got some more.
I figure it's an even trade - when the missus headed out that way this past summer to visit the family, I sent out striped bass and smoked bluefish.
