i don't know, tattoo...those look to be aweful small to get my hand around. there doesn't seem to be a lot of circumference to get my line around that darter thing, not to mention my hook. do you make a bigger one? i may go with that 2 liter one i talked about. i could use a new hook though. any suggestions?

nahh...those weigh about 2.5 ounces and the hooks that are on those work the best, you never get hung up!

i can't wait! i'm buying one of those new high powered lanterns for next year! i hear it attracks the bait right in. it's tough fishing at night; you might fall or something. there's gotta be some experts on this board that can recommend one...

what's a "20"??? lemme guess, another one of the "lure" things?

list? which list? i have many lists...

A "20" means a fish big enough to take home and feed a 5 year old...............

Seawolf, do you know if they have a 12 volt hook up on our side? I have a 2 million candle power light I think would be good on those nights when there is no moon.

tattoo, you're in luck! i've been in contact with some people and there's great news. first, they are bulldozing the cottages over there and laying a new road down to the water where a large parking lot will be made. they are putting new telephone poles out to the parking lot, so they are also going to have lighting! i hear there will be one right at the end of the jetty! imagine that! ohh, it gets better...they are cementing all those badly layed rocks and it's going to be a nice smoothe walk now to the point. at the point, there will be aluminum rails to keep anglers from falling in. there will be stairs on the point going into the water where a cement platform will be for an easier landing area. they are trying to work with the core to see if that breakwater a couple hundreds yards outside of the jetty will be implemented in time. no more waves over your head! lastly, they are building a bess eaton near the parking lot!!! - with a cigarette vendor! what more can you ask for! and you only wanted a 12 volt hookup...i'm trying to attach my 1 million candlepower light to my head or neck for next year. no more falling down!

Do you think you could ask the core to remove all that black slippery stuff from the rocks too?

....and maybe they could remove a few of those rocks right out in front, seems like someone always get hung up on them.

BM, Did you get the inspiration for that plug when you were eating a banana?

well, i wasn't supposed to say anything, but i understand they are removing some rocks and dredging off on the left side of the wall. in there, the core and woods hole are supposed to be putting in a 2 million gallon aquiculture tank filled with some striped fish between 20 and 50 pounds. there will be lights, a walkway around it, drink holders, lawn chairs there. supposedly they are going to be feeding these fish something called 'glass elvers'??? what are they?

sorry, tattoo...yes, they are removing all the rocks out in front and replacing it with soft sand. you won't need to worry about that green stuff when they put in the new concrete walkway and stairway. duh!

i also understand they are supposed to put a web cam on the telephone pole so people on the boards can see who's fishing, what's being caught, and the current conditions. i think this is great! and, there's a free, 1800-call-att phone being put in so people can call to see what the conditions are as well.

i think habbs was putting in a plug vending machine there as well. loaded each day. with hooks! what's the status on that, john?

can it get any better?
