People just do not pay attenion! See on the news, that Wayland policeman who saved that 2 year old from getting hit by a car at the playground? What was his Mother watching when she should have been watching the only child she had at the park? The herring run accident.....someone was not paying attenion!!! Children drown in unattended pools.....parents not paying attention!!! Child wanders off into cold snowy mountains from his families condo and freezes to death before he can be found!!!!!

The mother was looking for her child, but chose to look in the wrong spot.
She thought her child may have gone through the gates near the parking lot, which were partially obstructed. The gate the child had gone out was on the other side of the playground, an did not have a working latch. I applaud the officer for his quick thinking and action. The mother will definitely be more aware of her child's location when he is outside.
