I live and fish for srtiped bass hybids here in Colorado. I have found info regrading Striped Bass is very help full. I am stuck to fly fishing from shore in about 3 to 5 feet deep water. I was woundering what type of weather conditions you perfer for chasing Striped Bass? Wind conditions, clouds or no clouds, rain? Type of shore line sand over rock? What water temp do you start fishing for Striped Bass at?

My guess would be predawn to sunrise or at dusk to dark. Dead of night for the bigger fish... If you are a trout fisherman, the same kind of wet fly presentations work for bass as they often hold and feed as trout do in river or estuary flows. The article suggested white as a color. You can't go wrong with that in a bucktail. I wouldn't be surprised that if there are crawfish or sculpin around that you'll find them in their bellies as well. Try a Muddler Minnow. I have had some excellent fishing preceeding the passing of a major storm front.

Colorado Springs ?

I have a friend that just move the Colorado Springs and loves bass fishing... he really didn't want to move but thats a story for another day.

I'd love to let him know if there are any areas to fish for bass with stripes out there, he's been there about a month and he is ready to come back and fish, who needs family lol
