Good night pt.2
Got into some serious action before being chased off by the lightning.Landed 5
between 30-32"s.All but 1 were caught on a yellow/white 1.25oz #^^^^^^^^^^^&
bottle popper the other on an olive/white.For every fish caught I had three times the hits.
Also lost an absolute slob on an Afterhours squid just freshly purchased from SWE at lunchtime today. It WILL get some serious usage.
No short fish to be found.
Damn good night for one that was cut short.

I got chased off too right when it got dark. I ran into town and got dinner and brought it back to where i was fishing just to see the light show. I got a 36 on a yellow pencil, biggest of the year so far. It was on my 5th cast and i let her go assuming i would get another keepah, but that logic never ever works for some reason, i curse myself.

The olive and the yellow have been my "goto" this spring when fishing sundown.
Fish of every size seem to love those little 1.25oz poppers!
I been fishing them s-l-o-w and give a twitch of the wrist every now and then
and they whack it on the pause.
Gonna have a go at it again tonight.

Crafty and I hit the same spot I fished last night and managed a dink a piece.
We went our seperate ways around 9:30 and were gonna hit spots close to home.I managed one micro near where I live.Hope Crafty did better.
Might do a quick one in the am.
At least no skunkage.
Hope everybody's having a nice weekend.

Nah, just headed home for a real late dinner last nite after that micro, BW - I ran outta steam.
I was gonna hit the spot for blackfish but I'll wait til tomorrow AM - I'm just gonna get some yardwork done and then try to rinse the fish repellent off me this afternoon

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
