Cod fishing this memorial day

Had plans to head out to scantum thanks to a hint. But as usual plans change. Got out on monday hit up some spots just off salem harbor (7-8 miles) and hit tons of cod. 50/50 keepers shorts with a few haddock. biggest was 20+ cod. I wasnt near all the other boats out there 1- 2 miles away and worked a little shallower 140-160'' couldnt mark any fish as i was to busy reeling them up. All fish were caught on homemade rigs w/ clams as the jigs didnt work worth crap. Just another fun day on the water.

Steve

the pic is of my buddy trying to show off some of our catch.
