Bombas on vacation, part deux

Oh my word...
Can't even describe the fishing last week.
I'm back a day early, so no pictures, wait for Mikey's...
I slept in for what some call the biggest bass blitz in history!!! Mikey caught 20 keepers in an hour, brought home all 20#+ fish!!!
Yesterday we had to let a 25#er go because we had no more room in the cooler.
Lost track of the keepers...one day I had at least 7, yesterday we had 2 20' basking sharks in front of us with the fish corralled in front of them.
We started using the kayaksting method, but we were catching so many big fish in front of us on pencils that it was crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could've brought home half a ton of blue fillets for Clammer, but cutting fish got a little tedious!!!
Bad news is they are closing the OB for the next three weeks for the fin plovers.
Good seeing Scotty from Lex lures and Pete from NE Saltwater Journal (there's a cover shot of us in the next couple of issues), Chris (Iron Mike's buddy, not sure of his name here), and of course, the man, the myth, the legend D. Manzi himself (tried to hire us as bodyguards, but there were too many fish) the Bassmaster.
What a week...we had trucks following us around like Stezko, had to switch up trucks a couple of days to go stealth...
As you all know I'm not an embellisher, but for one week, Mikey and I were the absolute KINGS OF THE BEACH!!!!!!!!!!!
Bad news is Mikey went to the hospital today with a cut off VMC 4/0 in his thumb. Docs in town cut it out, and Milo is on his way to experience the Bomba mojo first hand.
Words cannot suffice the fishing we had this week. What a way to spend a vacaton!!!
Just wish they made coolers bigger than 160 qts.
Later,
Sleepy Rick

Congrats on the great trip... its what we all dream of. That magic blitz. I remember reading about Slip and Bigfish's huge night last season and I was in awe. I'll be out there for one someday.

I've had some great days, but never just all big fish.

A few more years and I'll be able to put my time in again and it'll happen. I was down at the cape for 3 days at the end of last week and didn't even bring a rod. I knew there was no point. Its a sad state of affairs.

Look forward to the pics.
