a few new items worth noting for the new season.
first start off with the new shimano reels
The Baitrunners are revamped for this year . called the (B) series they now have an infinite anti-reverse, oversized line roller, new bail arm and rotor assembly. They have also reintroduced the SPHEROS series they come in 5 sizes from 3000 up to a 8000.
fluid drive,dyna-balance,power roller,water proof drag, super stopper II anti reverse and aluminum frame. spool is titanium liped w/extra aluminum spool. The 8000 spool will also fit the STRATIC 6000 which will add 30 yds of 20lb test for those big fish.

The Pure Fishing folks came out with these new reels.
Mitchell : a new Bait Runner style reel called the FULL RUNNER it looks like the Nautils and has 4 BB, Graphite spool.same water proof drag as the Nautils
ABU : C5 MAG-X series ( CONV )
5BB, 3 sizes Magnetic breaking system,one touch casting system,ported handle design.
and the 7000B ( CONV ) is just like the regular ABU 7000 reels but has bushings instead of bearings . costs about $100


Penn also has the Slammer Series and Bait feeder reels in 2 sizes mentioned in an earlier post.

Okuma has a great line up of reels
10BB reels in 2 series for well under $100.
and a bait runner style reel that with 4 BB and holds up to 330/25 for under $80.

FINS has come out with a new FUSED super line called EVOUTION for this year it is only available up to 20lb test.

Nick at Breakaway has a new Blank out it is a 12'-3" two pc. ( Conv ) rated for 2-5oz lures called the LDFC 123 . they are also making it as a production rod.
