I miss the days of Chief Jay Strongbow and George"The Animal" Steele...that was wrestling.
Bruno Samartino, Haystack Calhoun and Captain Lou Albano
and it was kid friendly back then too.

Funniest this I remember seeing was Andre the Giant wrestling 6 Midgets.....absolutely hysterical. One under each arm and 2 on each leg walking around the ring.

"Classie" Freddie Blassie, Gorilla Monsoon, Toru Tanaka...ahh the Good Old Days.
I remember Saturday Mornings, sitting in the living room w/ my Dad, watching Wrestling and then Roller Derby when I was a kid. Chief Jay was always my favorite, when he would do his Wardance just before whoopin up on somebody

Does Killer Kowalski still fish the Canal? And Tanaka used to own a biker bar ("T-San's") in Fall River. I went there once after a union meeting, and met the Professor, tho I passed on the opportunity to have my picture taken arm-wrestling him
That's when rasslin' was rasslin' Kowakski, Strongbow, Bobo Brazil, the Black Jacks (Mulligan and Lanza), Haystacks, Gorilla Monsoon, and my favorites, the managers--Captain Lou, the Grand Wizard, and Classy Freddie.
The Captain and the Grand Wizard were regular riots when Eddie Andelman had them on the Sports Huddle---you could tell that McCarthy didn't even want to be in the same room when they did that part of the show
