I'm staying in to make a smorgasbord of different striper dishes with my fish from last nite. Fish tacos are the only definite at this point.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.

I am catching plenty of fish but there all cookie cutter common august bass of 6lbs to 12lbs. Who needs anotherone of those? There are tons I mean tons of silversides everywhere, so I guess if you live close and want some school bass action, go for it. A few more fish for me tonight aint worth it !

Its as good a time as any to rest up! Plus its all out come sept,Oct,Nov ! I cant wait!!

Should be a good night for it, Vic, as warm as it is -

I've been bird-watching from the porch all afternoon, tying up leaders and nursing my sprained foot -

There's been flocks of long-legged bed-thrashers fluttering up and down Thames St. all day long - with a few red-breasted warblers mixed in from time to time, too

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
