Talking Enough already!

Well I got to say congrats already but the next thing ya' know you people will start thinking about OTHER NE based sports teams possibly winning their own championships. Teams like the Celtics, the Bruins, or even the "gulp" Red Sox.

I have a few pictures I want to share with my friend of the north lands.

The first picture is the goat of the 85' World Series.. Mr. Bill Buckner

And the hero for the NY Mets. Mr. Mookie Wilson

But everyone knows the Curse of the Bambino...

So in closing, enjoy the sweet feeling of winning the Superbowl. But, with the Baseball Season only 2 short months away, I don't want to get your hopes up too far.

OK - were getting close to evening things up here between our city of 600 thousand and your adopted city of Elizabeth, NJ, uhh, I mean New York City - population 10 mil or so:

AFC Patriots: 1 Superbowl Champoinship (BTW - we partied on that today )
AFC JETS! JETS! JETS!: 1 Superbowl Championship

NBA: Boston Celtics: SIXTEEN World Championships
NBA: Knicks: 6 or 7 (that many?) W.C.s and a lot of jail time

NHL: Bruins, like 6 or 7 Stanleys
NHL: Rangers - how many? Roughly the same?

Well, here you kinda got us...
MLB: RedSox - 7 World Series victories although they go back to the beginning of recorded time
MLB: Boston Braves 6 or 7 last in 40 something
MLB: Yankweenies: 25
MLB: Metweenies: I know of 1

So with a population to championship factor, we're kickin' yer a$$

*disclaimer - I'm wicked tired so I didn't reseach other than knowing the Celts, Sox, & Yankweenies but it's something like that

We won't have any negativity around here for a while. It is still sinking in that we won, what a day to be a Patriot fan. Nobody can take this Championship away from us.
The Red Sox will get their chance soon, maybe once they build a new park.

Next year the Redsox are gonna do some great things!!! They're franchise players are back and healthy and they even got rid of some slackers (Carl E.) Last year I thought the Sox had an excellent chance of making it to the world series but Injuries and bad decisions by the GM Dan D. screwed everything up. The sox was over .500 minus half thier starting line up! Carl E., PEDRO, Nomar, Jason V., Manny R. for his hamstring a couple times who else am I missing??? The sox really didn't start to go down hill untill dum a$$ danny decided to fire Jimmy. I think the Sox are heading for the BIG show next year and you can quote me on that!!!!!!!!!!
