a couple squid

these are going out to jeffreys ledge tomorrow for a test swim.

the two on the left are part of a baseball bat.
the one on the right is the mistery wood?

3/32" thru wire.. 1,030# sampo swivel with a few weights stuffed in the nose.
we'll see how they swim?

Photo taken on 12/22/2004, just before I wrapped the plug which I made for my Friend Eric LaFleur as a Christmas present. I have four more bodies that need painting.

Why even try.........

come to find out it's mahogany. just cut the wrong way from the board stock.
looks pissa with clearcoat. i made another one gave it to mac that was a little bigger. the grain is beautiful seems to go all the way round the plug.
if you make them too small there weak and you can snap them like a twig.
i made some neeldels from it too cut the other way and there pretty kool but not as pretty.

this one was like a foot long

You want to be careful. They could all snap on ya eventually if they're cut the wrong way...

Good job though!!

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots
