FINALLY!

Went to "the toliet" today and finally caught my first bass of 2002! I went around 4:00 1 guy was in the park area and he was bottom fishing with 7 rods all along the fence. So me and a friend decided to hit the docks. After an hour the sun started to set so we figured we would try a different area while walking along the docks we noticed splashes along the wall under the walkway. it was small stripers chasing a small school of peanut bunker. So we flipped our 3" shad bodies under the walkway and my firend hooked up, I casted along the walkway and hooked up as well they were awfully small maybe around 14" or so but still a lot of fun. They fought well and were really healthy looking. My firend hooked up once more and the action died out. The wind got to me and I decided to go home. I went yesterday night and there was about 5 guys there and no action. But While I talked to another fella heading towards the dock and he said a keeper sized fish was caught yesterday it must have been after I left. I will give it another try if the weather warms up but right now that 1 fish helped with the winter blues.
