Re-Painting Plastic Plugs
What is the best paint to use to re-paint some Yo-Zuri Mag Darters (or any other plastic plug for that matter).
I have a few of the black/blue ones that are now mostly clear because the paint has been scraped off from fish. I want to paint them a glossy black.
What is the best paint to use -- and is there some kind of clear coat I can put over the paint in an easy way to protect the finish better?
Thanks

I use a rustoleum product I got from Home depot call plastic primer.
It takes a while to completly dry but it does well sticking to the plastic.
After that you can get any paint you want to paint it.
Get a rustoluem glossy black if you want.
After the paint has dried get some devcon 30 min expoy and apply a thin coat with a craft sponge brush.

What i do with alot of yozuri and some bomber plugs, once they get really beat up, is scrape off the rest of the paint, then color them...usually just the top or the head with a waterproof marker. this gives you a translucent color which can be deadly....and just about impossible to get any other way. i was taught this by a well respected old timer. those black/blue darters are transparent on the bottom right (i had one that color and lost it)
