Anybody know of spots in Dubai UAE?
My company just put me on assignment in Dubai in the middle east. I am almost beachfront but I am having a hard time finding equipment....I was told that there was no fishing here but it looks awfully promising to me( big schools of sardines with alot of swirls so something eating them)National Geographic says the sardine run lasts throu December so if anyone has been stationed here(Navy?) give me a heads up on shops, spots etc(PROMICE I WON'T BURN THEM)HAHAHAHA

I sent some poppers there last winter to a guy who was Cobia fishing. I had looked at it back then and was surprised they had alot of warm water species just like here in the summer....bonito, spanish macs, etc. I'm looking for his order and if I find it I'll shoot you his name and tel number maybe he can help you locally.

I visited there when I was in the Navy in the 90's. Never had time to fish or think about fishing but what I do know is that the Persian Gulf is LOADED with Sea Snakes. Nasty things.....instant death within minutes of a bite.
Good Luck

My company has Emirates Airlines as one of our clients, I'll ask the account service team if they know anything but I highly doubt it.
I attached a pic that is in our new campaign looks fishy!!

I remember something straightening out a hook on me when I was there in '87. Never got to see what it was. I could also swear that we were catching small Tarpon there also.
And those Sea Snakes are some nasty creatures.....just floating on top of the water all over the place.

Have a look there ...
Or just post something on this European Big Game forum : lots of worldwide travelling fishermen (both European and Asian), good guys, if there's something to fish, they'll tell you what, where and how !!!

Half of it is in Spanish, but the second half is English speaking.
