FLYFISHING FROM YAKS

When I started flyfishing and especially when I have been fishing the derby on the Vineyard I was told that trolling a fly was unacceptable and the fish should not count in any contest. I never coroborated thisd statement as being fact and just assumed it was correct. I read with great interest the YAK thread in the other forum and would appreciate any help with this. Because most guys who use a yak troll with the fly behind them. I see it all the time off Oregon Beach hwere a Yak guy will leave his fly line out and paddle like a you know what and have a great success rate hooking up. I am interested in buying a yak to fish with and not being able to troll a would not keep me from buying one, but it would dictate how I fish from one.
