		Jock Scott Flatwing Conversion (fly is about 8” long eye of hook to end of flash) This fly has become one of my favorite night time flies (next to the Eel Punt). 
 
Hook: 3/0 Eagleclaw #253 
Thread: Black  
Platform: Yellow Bucktail 
Support: Yellow hackle curve side up to support tail 
Tail (in order of assembly): 
Red neck hackle slightly longer than support hackle 
Cantaloupe neck hackle (all the following neck hackle tied about 5 ½” – 6” long) 
Black neck hackle/gold flash (2 strands typical) 
Yellow neck hackle 
Yellow neck hackle/black flash 
Yellow neck hackle/ red flash 
Black neck hackle 
Brown Grizzly neck hackle/copper flash 
Yellow neck hackle/blue flash 
Red neck hackle/gold flash 
Blue neck hackle/blue flash 
Body: Bill’s body Braid, Light Blue 
Collar:  Black bucktail 2/3 around tied fairly full 
Natural Guinea Fowl folded and wrapped several turns, pulled down and tied off as throat assembly,  
 try to tie off so that this will be a background for the Jungle Cock eye 
Topping (in order of assembly): 
	Peacock herl (6-7 strands) tied to end at end of neck hackle in tail assembly 
	Count 30 – 35 Natural Brown Bucktail from the top of a natural white bucktail 
	Brown Grizzly neck hackle (41/2” –5” long) 
	Golden Pheasant crest 
Cheek/Eye: Tuft of Turquoise neck hackle tied in above Jungle Cock eye
