Atom 40 belly weights

Did the old wooden ones have them? How about a little slug in the tail? Or were they balanced with big Mustad belly hooks? Like 5/0?

Do you lie awake at night pondering these kinds of questions like I do?

Any idea what wood they used? I noticed some of the old Atom lips are bent up and the sides. Is this to create more roll?

Thanks Flap! Hopefully CS will see this and respond here as I am sure others would be interested too. If not, I'll PM him.

I had this discussion with Capesams about the bent up sides of the the lip. He says it is to help the lure from rolling. Pinchney did it also and so does Beachmaster. Hopefully Steve will elaborate.
