June Moon Madness
Is anyone fishing the Snug Harbor tournament this June? I plan on fishing it but haven't nailed down a team yet. Maybe a Team Striped-Bass.com with an open checkbook from John R . I will be stopping by the marina this week and will be posting the details.

"Open checkbook?" the whole S-B company checkbook open, closed, or trampled on couldn't cover 1 boat right now - we're not officially a not-for-profit and most not-for-profits have a heckuva lot deeper pockets than we do ....

Well your doin a helluva job on a shoestring. I don't remember it being THAT much last year. Maybe its the ASA thing. I know some of the crew out of that marina and the next dock down, and it would take a minor myrical to finish in the top 10. I think I'll save the $250 and fish for fun that weekend.

How does it work ? Biggest single fish, or some kind of total boat /weekend thing ? What did it take to win it last year ? Just wondering really.

It's the largest fish. If I read the flyer correctly you fish from 7 am to 5 pm sat and sun. I think the fish that won last year was in the low 40s.

Scotch, I'd be a little nervous about the competition in this one for the cash required, too. I think they have a shore category, but I've never really thought about entering.

I did'nt see any shore category last year. They also get alot of charter people who fish evry day and have some productive spots. It would be like putting yourself up against Shaw Grigsby. The odds are in his favor.

No shore catagory - It's gotten bigger, not better IMHO.
