I don't usually watch these shows , but we have a local girl from my town on (Ayla Brown )
Some may know her parents,
Father, Scott Brown, State rep, was a (wrentham) town selectman
Mother, Gail Huff, Channel 5 morning news reporter
So, I guess I have some rooting interest!

M'ladies watch it faithfully. She made their top 3 list last night and Simon was right about her being a minx, but I thought in her intro she was from the South the way she said she, "Laaaked playin' with her 'dauwg'."

Yup, hate to admit it, but I made the mistake of watching it once and now I am tuning in every week...it's really sad. I think Taylor Hicks is great (the grey haired guy), the your kid is great, and that funny looking guy is also great.

I'm so embarrassed....what time is Martha on today?

I have an extra tv if you want it ???

my wife and daughter watch it too, she tells me to watch the really bad one just to see the trainwrecks and get a laugh. I don't like how the judges mock them or put them down but I guess the truth hurts. I've only seen pieces a couple times, I hope I don't get sucked into that vortex.
I like the shield and 24, those are shows.

I can't resist posting in this thread, I love to bash American Idol.

I have only watched it a couple of times, as a musician it interested me, but the show is so freakin' annoying. If I wanted to watch Kareoke I would go to the local watering hole.
As much as I hate to admit it, I kind of like Kelly Clarkson, she has one hellava voice, but did you guys know the main reason why she has had the recent success (3 years after winning Idol) is because she exercised her right to leave the management company that she was forced to sign with when she won and they did not put up a big fight to keep her because her debut CD didn't meet sales expectations. GREAT move on her part, she basically forgotton before her latest CD came out. Look at her now, a multiple grammy winner. There is bad blood between her and the Idol gang though, she flat out refused to let current cotestants sing any of her songs. Oh and if this record contract that the winner gets it so good where the hell are the 3 or 4 or whatever winners? It's kind of sad for the kids because in this day and age in the music industry, if you don't hit right away, you are history.

You want to talk about a good show, The Unit premiered on tuesday. I think this is going to be a really great show, it's on NBC. It stars the fomer president from 24 , they kicked some terrorist butt in the first show

I just turned it on 1 time after learning the girl is my neighbor,
I thought she sucked anyway,
or atleast the song she picked sucked.

mom and the sister watch it... personally, i only like ace young.... the grey haired guy, taylor, sing something good, or take a hike, and do something with the hair, it bugs me so much... then theres this bald guy, not bad, sings some okay songs..
