Natural cold remedies.
Seems I've picked up a mild Springtime cold.My 1st reaction is to always hit the drugstore and buy some otc stuff that never really does much of anything.
Other than getting out of the house and breathing some fresh air what are some good natural remedies?

Altoids will clear your chest if congested. A good hot shower will make you feel better, too.

At my liquor store everyone wants ginger brandy 101 proof.
I personally like to have a good sweat. I play hockey so that really kicks the cold after a good skate. Maybe a nice run or a sauna.

Natural cold remedies?
If it's allergies just try a boat.
Go cod fishing. For a day. 9 hours offshore.
It worked for me. A party boat works. (I don't have my own yet)
Get away from the source of the allergens.(land)

Wouldn't waste my time on a cod boat if they didn't sell beer.
I tried the whisky & water thing too. Didn't work.
Beer & salt air. Followed by beer.

I forgot about using hot sauce.Got a nice fresh bottle of Tabasco Habenero.I've been adding it to just about everything.I added a copious amount to some Hormel chili last night and stood over the stove taking in the vapors and then sucked that down. After a blazing hot shower and I wasn't feeling to bad.
Next season I'm definitely going to be taking preventative measures as suggested in the link you posted Raven.I REALLY hate being sick.

It was a necessary risk.
You remember the tv ad for Tucks? You know the one where the put out the match with one of the pads.
That about sums it up.

I quit smoking a little over 3yrs ago and one thing I know for sure is that I get over a cold in about one quarter of the time.Instead of a hanging on to one for a month I'm over them in less than a week.
