Scientology?????
If their religion is so great and strict and whatnot.....don't they have beliefs about childbirth out of wedlock as in the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes scenario????
You can't say word one during the birthing of the child but you can have a child out of wedlock....very strange religion I am thinking!

I think Tom Cruise has a few screws loose. I bet it isn't even his biological kid.

Exactly Karl,
If you have not seen it, you really need to see the south park episode where they show exactly (albeit in cartoon form) what these wingnuts believe in.
here is a bried synopsis :
" Scientologists believe that 75 million years ago an evil galactic ruler, named Xenu, solved overpopulation by bringing trillions of people to Earth in DC-8 space planes, stacking them around volcanoes and nuking them. Then the souls of these dead space aliens were captured and boxed up and taken to cinemas where they were shown films of what life should be like, false ideas containing God, the devil and Christ and told to get ill.
After that they supposedly clustered together and now inhabit our bodies. Scientologists believe that if they rid themselves of these body thetans then they will be healthier and will gain special powers like mind-over-matter.
Some Scientologists spend $360,000 for all this."
you just cant make this stuff up...
Heres my brief encounter with them
Back in the early 80's I mail ordered that stupid "self auditing" book by L Ron Hubbard who is their founder of Scientology, hes dead for many years , but anyway. After I received the book kinda scanned it and put it on the shelf next to the prophet Kahlil Gibran book(I was a weird kid, dont ask). So I start to receive these HANDWRITTEN letters from some crazy chick, who was apparatly given my name to try to recruit me. Real deep thinking stuff (to them I guess) I was not desperate for dates ,so I ignored her and the letters. In retrospect I should have responded and really had some fun with her, but I had better things to do. These letters kept coming for over a year, about half dozen of them, LONG letters all hadwritten asking me to respond for more enlightenment of some kind.
IT still ascares me to this day.

South Park has some of the best social commentary and satire on TV.
And Tom Cruise definitely has more then a few screws loose.

I wish I could find a link to the Stern "fake TC" interview ... OMG, he was funny
Tom is at the "level", where he is in Direct Communication with the Head Thetan ...
I pity the poor girlfriends father and mother.. they are devout Catholics, I understand the father is not taking it too well.

Issac hayes (scientolgist) voice of chef left south park after the scientology episode. A lot of people think south park is all crap, but they really touch on a lot of current events ,if you actuually watch it.

I work in Manhattan and the moonies have an office or something on 43rd. street. There may be a coffee shop in front -haven't stopped. They always have books on a table outside and there is a picture of mr and moon in the window. they don't shave their heads or wear dresses anymore. Now their affiliated with the Univ. of bridgeport. Maybe the changed for the new millinium

The moonies also have a big boat building plant in NJ. But I forget the brand name of the boats they make. They're supposed to be pretty nice boats.
