Leader to fly knots?
Interested in what folks use for knots in this situation.
Being somewhat sight impaired, I've used what is called a "Lou's Loop" or an variation of it for years. Wondering if there is something better / easier.

100% of the time I use a loop knot. Action of the fly is so much better than improved clinch, Palomars or anything else. Just keep doing what you are doing, don't change.

Why even try.........

Not sure about the Lou's Loop, but as long as it's strong. I'm a big fan of the No-slip mono loop. It's a great knot and very strong.
There's no fly that I regularly use that I don't use a loop knot on.

I always loop flys and droppers. I use a perfection loop. Works great and have never had one fail. Also easy to tie.

I assume you tye in the loop, send through eye, and flip it over the fly? Sorta like a loop to loop connection?

I use a douple surgeons knot to make my loop for the lead fly. For my droppers, I don't use a loop knot. The flies tend to flop aobut toomuch and get twisted arouond the main leader. I tie the droppers short and use a clinch knot to tie the fly on the dropper.
