Thumbs down

Same here. Only been skunked once. Plenty of small fish. I went out last night with high expectations only to catch more 20" fish.

Been trying to throw bigger plugs to weed themout and they slam them too.

I'm gonna throw snakes tomorrow night and see what happens.

We have never seen so many fish between 30" and 40". I have 71 keepers and MrStriper has over 90. The majority have been from the beach. All the fish have either been on needles at night or poppers and pencils during the day. Early in the week I took my first 36", 18 pounder on the fly.

Been fishing the surf mostly evenings into night time with no action after dark up here (northshore) yet. Most of my fish have ranged from 15"-30" with one 20 lb bass, a couple at around 32", and one 32" cod. Hopefully this evening/night things will pick up after dark, the sun hurts my eyes.

My thoughts exactly. I saw way more signs of life this weekend. Hopefully the night bite will pick up along with the average fish size.

Some in the know have been doing real well (I'm not one of them) although I've picked up a few keepers.

You're killin me buddy...thanks for the picture though.

Most of my fishing is w/ plugs, plastic, jigs, or shiny metal, around late afternoons after work till sunset, and then into the darkness.

I have been to plenty of past productive areas..just not gettin' em.
(ALL DINKS!)

If I had patience I would do squid/clams/mack bait on bottom but that is so damn boring to me...

I suppose I need to just dedicate "more time" to the night, buck up $$ and toss eels again.

I'm pretty convinced it's NOT what your throwing, but when and WHERE you're doing it. Most of my areas are not fishing as well either. I am finding fish, but not where I expect. Don't keep hammering spots that used to be productive, that are not producing right now.

Fishing has been fantastic with a multitude of fish in the 34-44 inch range. The slobs are around but not in huge numbers yet anyways. There is a ton of bait this year also which is a blessing for the surf guy. So far it has been a phenomenal year in terms of quality fish. Bronko- you cow slut. Let someone else catch those nice fish you crushed in the last week.
