radar recommendation

I'm going to buy a radar unit soon and I want to be able to see birds working. Anyone out there with a recommendation? 4Kw? Open array? I have a hard top and the boat is a 23 foot Parker center console.

Thanks.

I would be impressed if you could tell birds working from just a radar screen. I am not saying its impossible, I would just tip my cap to you.

thats why they call it fishing not catching

From what I have learned, you need a minimum of a 6kw radar to hope to see birds over fish. High power, narrow bandwidth.

The general conscensous is that they are extremely tought to find by radar alone. Several on another site recommended a quality powered pair of binoculars instead. Thanks you guys.
