Going out tomorrow around 7:30PM in chatham and plan on staying out until around 12:30ish. Tide is not right but I just need to get out there.

Brutal "new moon" for me. Not for lack of effort though. I logged some massive hours throwing big ole' cape cod rattlesnakes at a number of back beaches that had some really juicy structure. I must have walked a marathon in two nights. Not a sniff on the backside. Had to hit a few other spots up inside a bay in order to score a few fish on plugs. A real dissapointment.

Talking

Lotsa schoolies, but the aweful weather my head just wasn't in the game. Mostly relaxed and rested, charging the batteries for next weekend.

For me, the new moon phases are by far the best nights. Four days before and 4 days after is it! That's when the big girls roam closer to the shoreline and put on their feeding bag. Furthermore, the closer into the slack water... the better!

plenty of fish around, i've seen them on top, so musch bait it looks like it's raining, and barely a sniff on eels, flies, plugs, slug-gos. i have picked up a lot of driftwood though.

fishing is not a love, but an obsession

Three or for nights before and after the new moon is the best. I,ve always had good fishing during this period and this June '06 new moon was no exception.
