Cuttyhunk Trip

There are a few of us S-B members going to Cuttyhunk this weekend, staying Friday and Saturday nights staying at the historic Cuttyhunk Bass Club. We may have ONE additional opening for anyone interested in going to Cuttyhunk this fishing weekend. The surf is supposed to die down with decent weather (forecast) for the weekend.

If you would be interested room costs $150 for the weekend (150 / night split between 2 people) plus the guys are bringing food, plan to have breakfast at the club. Figure 40-50 round trip on the ferry with bags, and figure to bring some spending money.

I had the fortune fo being invited to Cutty a few years ago by a class guy and with a class group of people and it was a most memorable weekend for all of us. Cuttyhunk is truly a great place.

I will know tomorrow if the spot is available for sure so please PM me and post here is interested tonight or ASAP...

As for the fishing, a little birdie told me there were fish caught there recently from shore that were large

Just returned from 3 days and long nights on famed Cuttyhund Island. The accommadations, food , weather, friends and fishing were all excellent! Me and the #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& had 32 bass with two in the low 30's. I brought back a 32 for the OTW contest. Alot of fish in the teens. Most of the damage was done with live eels and the black Sluggo on the southwest side of the island although I had 4 nice fish at a spot on the south side early monday a.m..Other members of our group(RISSA) had similar results. #^&#^&#^&#^& Geldard had a 30 as did Bob Moeller. All in all, we had a super time. The only downside was lack of sleep which is expected I guess. We've booked a trip for late Sept. and I'm going to buy the lightest pair of waders I can find!

It was a great time! I dont think we could have done any better than we did, I cant wait to go back. As Steve said , great friends and great accomidations made it a trip I will not forget soon, neither will my legs! they are sore today! Take Sluggos out there! Steve was mowing them on those! And of course the live eels were also good. I will post a couple of photos soon, each of us got a 30lb fish , cant ask for more than that...Have a fun trip out there and good luck!

Hey Steve............you were "Kinked up" Alot out there......................

Hahahahaha - uhh, no. He's bringing the RockSled. In fact, seeing that I jammed my knee pretty hard the other night, I'll be boat fishing with him or taking a real short walk to fish in front of the club....

So how did the eels feel about sharing the tub with ya (seeing how it was their quarters) when ya showered with them and did Bill feel korkers were necessary because of eel slime? I know your answer Steve, you do fine with felt soles.

Never needed Korkers and got around just fine, most guys in the party ditched there korkers by the second night..And we fished the south and west sides which are where the rocks are, felt really worked out good !

The Island is tough to fish from a walking standpoint but once down on the rocks overall in my opinion Block Island is much harder and more dengerous, the advantage on the block is that you can drive to the spots on cutty, you have to guess right because its loads of walking! Beutifull place and loaded with bass, I loved it.....

The bathtub was just for the eels! we showered down the hall, Nothing like taking that morning dump and saying hello to the eels in the tub!
