Anyone know a good OB mechanic in Warwick? and tuna report

left warwick ri at about 4 am planning on heading to the dip. never made it that far. stopped about 9 miles away on the flats due to the busting bait we saw.

looked like schools of small bonito jumping around, but never saw anything chasing them. trolled the area for a little while, not one knockdown.

so we started trolling to the edge. after about 40 mins we had a double knockdown and got both fish the boat. both 30-35 lb yft. worked the area for another hr and picked up another. bite slowed down and headed towards the middle grounds.

picked up another on the WB rod. was our best fish a yft that pulled to 50 lbs on my boga. by then our box was full. we trolled around the edge for a little while then ran for home at 2 pm.

had outboard probs. my stb motor wouldnt pull oil from the remote tank, so we had to stop every 30 mins to fill it. that slowed us down. seas were a little bumpy on way out, but flat on way in. was running 38 mph on way home, but kept having to stop for oil slowed us way down. were back at dock by 7 pm.

we traveled about 270 miles and about 250 gallons of gas burned.

fish hit all the regular stuff. gm's and spreaders.

radio chatter sounded like our results were typical with boats reporting 2-8 fish in the boat. heard 1 white marlin landing and 1 big blue marlin sighting.

also heard barta on the radio. he had a good day too. something like 8 yft and a bunch of albacore....i dont remember exact numbers.

if anybody knows a good mechanic in ri that could fix my boat i would appreciate it. i dont have time to work on it myself this week, and i am contemplating another trip out next wkd.

thanks!

PS MakoMike: these guys i had on my boat, it was the first tuna and first trip to the edge for them. do you think if i gave you their names you could put them in your offshore report? they would be really psyched. TIA
