The Cape View is decent, clean and reasonable.

I use to stay at both the Pilgrim and the Cape View. Cape View is nicer but more expensive. The Pilgrim was my favorite if alone. Cheap and lots of fishermen staying there. Cape View was good if I brought my wife as some of the units were efficiencies and it was nicer.

Pilgrim Springs will be a spot for contractors to have their equiptment and businesses. Like a builder's strip mall. The Cape View changed hands this year, too. I haven't heard anything about the new owner yet.

The Outer Reach, 508-487-9090, about 5 miles past Pilgrim Springs towards Ptown, on the right. Nothing fancy, right priced.

Campgrounds are empty this time of year too. If you don't have a tent, just put the seat back and crash. I personally like to sleep in the jeep on the beach this time of year. Nice view, and you can't beat the price.

Too bad....me and my buddies have stayed there a couple times a year for our Cape trips for about 15 years running.

The rangers use to pull your permit if they caught you sleeping. We would sleep in our waders so if they did catch us, we just said we nodded off.
