HA!

Got my OTW mag before anyone posted the inside scoop on the article's this month...
I bet the guy in the PO that reads it is on Vaca up there somewhere's...
Nice articles by Zeno,Carl Johansen an the McKenna brothers gene an steve. Not sure they are brothers but i could not resist..
Zeno also does lure of the month On troublemakersurfsters.Remember that guy an his wife.Uggh.
A plug I change the lip out on to give it better action.
Steve (Flap)said this is the last month of the insiders part of the mag that's too bad.Is it that time of yr already..not sure why it can't go all yr.I miss that section during the OFF season. I'm sure some nice reflecting articles could be written during the winter months along wit articles covering the winter shows would be nice..\
Why not add a insiders part to NJ for next yr.good things go on down here.U guys should make a little drive for some nice fishing..
Even though we suck.

Glad you got your Mag. on time you elitist you

Carl's article is torturous for me to read since I was a day late work is over rated Glad he got in on it even though it was only for a bit.

ya, NJ needs more guys fishing their waters

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Tony, some day there just might be a Mid-Atlantic version of On the Water and you could be the NJ guy. Don't laugh, you never know.

Why even try.........

I got my monthly OTW yesterday...readit...today, and when i got home got a notice saying my OTW subs was exp.(please renew)

I find it funny cuz its the first time ive ever read it before most of you......... it seems...every other time..i was always behind the OTW MAG talk on here.

Honestly.....i think OTW has run out of spots, lures * tech-neechs, its become redundant...its all the same!!!!! just different styles of talk/type...........

i got OTW as a gift last year...in all honesty...iwont renew.....im tired of reading about the same spots %nd techs i already know or can learn or know tide, google map, free online depth charts....

OTW, i enjoyed looking at your pics.. and some reading, but im alset w/ my renewal.

sorry

I have to agree. I didn't renew my subscription to The Fisherman for the same reason. Same stuff over and over. I actually had 2 copies of The Fisherman, 2 years apart with the exact same article by Tim Coleman....word for word.

No boat, back in the suds.

Hey everbody gets info from different places.
The internet provides lots of info.
U don't get articles from seasoned writers like Joe Lyons,Tim Coleman.Carl Johansen,(Taught me lots on the ditch) on the internet.
For the short money the mag cost's per yr(less than some custom plugs). I enjoy sitting down with dinner or afterwards on the throne with a good article.U don't get stuff like Zeno's article on cullin Big fish on metal lips.On the internet.
I didn't know Al Bentsen only throws metal lips when he's not doing the rigged eel thing.Of course u have no Idea who Al Bentsen is.Or Donny Musso for that matter.Know for his plugmaking artistry,He is also one of the best pluggers out on Montauk..
Steve McKenna was chosin to write a very informative article on fishin after a storm.U got nothing out of that??
#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&s 50 came after a storm...I thought i read that here...
Not On the internet...
I have read ur post's u basically struggle in the surf.Try reading between the lines. The mag has so much more to offer besides spots....
I guess it's because I come from a time before there was the internet.I usta wait by the mailbox to get my fishing reading jones fullfilled. For 25 dollars a yr.if u get one thingt out of it that helps u get a decent fish then it's worth it...IMO.

Thumbs up OTW

I like OTW even if a wee bit of stuff is redundant it still helps remind me that there is so much to learn always.... when you think you know it all you`re in trouble.

Great Magazine....On the Water

Good health and family

NIB,

OTW was cool when I first started learning. (not saying I know everything)

I've just lost interest in OTW (seems like 75% the same old stuff),
& fishing in general. I'm just not as into anymore...

(sorry didnt mean to jack your thread...I was inebriated last night when I posted)

Hey we all go thru phases. When I was younger I liked to drink on a tues.eve also.Decided i was spendin to much time hungover an lots of life was passing me by.I got back into fishing my as i needed something to do.Now I can't imagine my life without it.
Live life to the fullest wether its bikes, fishing or whatever.
Sure fishin is hard. No likes to tell about the bad nights they get conviently erased from our memory banks.Productive spots are harder, rocks, waves bad wether.U get out there an hookup with the one u came for an it all makes sense again.
There's no time to waste on booze..
Life just goes so fast.
It's hard enough to keep up straight.

I like OTW, and there are some good articles from time to time, but I would LOVE a Surfcasting only mag.

with all the knowlege and info on this site, we could start one. Who's in? Let's call it "Boat fish don't count"

You were right Paul...the bottle and some other s$%$%$ (i got issues)....LOL. I havent gone fishing in almost 3 weeks. I am starting to miss it..just dont have the time anymore to fish the way I want.

I'll take back my comments about OTW on here...

Well for the most part...I still think they burn/talk about the same damn spots over and over and over...

but the magazine in general is enjoyable to read.

I like the stories the best. Like the one in this months, (forgot the author, was it Zeno.) about the swimming plugs article...I like reading stories like that, how he was wading around big fish, people casting at him..ect...that was a cool article. Steve's article was cool too..Im just not really into that...thats his game plan..I like to fish my own style. Did learn some things from Steve though...always do..

Glad to hear it, Warren. Enjoy fishing the way YOU want, not what someone else suggests. it's suppose to be fun. I think a lot of us get obsessed with over achievment and forget that it's about fun.
