Umbagog Lake

Any one know what the fishing is like up there. Doing a Canoe trip this weekend with the Scouts and we will be camping right near there. Wondering if its worth picking up a 1 day license to do some fishing while I'm up there.

Check the regs first -that lake has different seasons for just about every fish ,but if its open DO IT great fishing Honking pike. Get some big Mepps with the squirrel tail and copper super dupers for the trout. Should be a great trip colors should be peak . I'm taking my troop on the Allagash again this summer with Maine high adventure.
You guys do any winter camping? I'm looking for some info for a good trip.
Jim
